Creativity that gives back...

Pro Bono + Skills Based Volunteering

I’ve always had a heart for non-profits and giving back. Every year, I strive to volunteer about 100+ hours to pro-bono efforts like CreateAthon at VCU and Women’s March RVA.

CreateAthon at VCU

I started my journey with CreateAthon in the spring of 2010, as a team leader. Every year since then, I have participated in the annual event where students + professional mentors stay up for 24+ hours to create marketing and creative collateral for local Richmond non-profits.

I have worked every role, from Student Volunteer to Alumni Mentor Coordinator. In total I’ve volunteered over hours 450+ with CreateAthon at VCU.

Women’s March RVA

In 2018, I was tapped by a mentor to join the planning committee for Women’s March RVA. I managed communications and created design collateral for the upcoming event. Together, we hosted over 1000 women and allies as they marched in solidarity.

Working with Women’s March gave me the opportunity to design creative collateral for a cause I care about and to provide a creative and communications strategy that will keep this organization moving forward in the future.
